What You Need to Know About Using Saffron in Love Spells

Using Saffron in Love Spells

Love spells can be useful in a variety of ways, from helping draw new love into your life to rekindling a current romance. Saffron is one of the most powerful ingredients that can be used in love spells, and there are many ways to obtain it and to use it.

You can use saffron itself and something called saffron milk in love spells. Combining it with other powerful love spell ingredients can make its power much stronger. But despite its versatility and strength, it can be an expensive ingredient.

Fortunately, you can grow your own saffron supply. The following article details what saffron is, how to use it in love spells, and how to grow it yourself.

The Power of Saffron

In addition to being a popular spice in many dishes, saffron is a powerful ingredient in love spells

Associated with feelings of romance and even speculated to improve sexual desires and functions, saffron is perhaps the most powerful ingredient you can use in a love spell.

Saffron is thought to have originated in Greece and is still grown there to this day. The spice itself looks like a long, bright reddish-orange thread that grows in the center of a vibrant purple flower. The bright color is said to cultivate feelings of romance and even lust, making it great to use in love spells.

In addition to how it looks, its taste and smell are also powerful and associated with love. Its sweet but subtle flavor can be tasted when you eat it and smelt when you inhale it. The flavors are amplified when you grind it up with a sugar cube or a pinch of salt. If you want to make your love spell more powerful, doing this and sprinkling some of it into a burning pink or red candle can do wonders.

How to Use Saffron in Love Spells

Since it’s so powerful, saffron can also be used incorrectly in love spells. If you use it in the wrong way, it can make the love spell turn sour. This can cause the subject you’re trying to cast a spell on to become unhealthily obsessed with you.

The most common ways to cast a love spell with saffron are to:

Burning Saffron

Burning it is pretty self-explanatory. Hold the spice up to a flame and slowly burn it while chanting a manifestation of the name you want to cast the spell on and the result you want from the spell. Make sure you use an ashtray or something else to keep the burnt saffron in, as it will put out good energy and draw romance to you.

Wearing or Carrying Saffron

Wearing a small vial of saffron around your neck or carrying a small jar of it with you can also help to draw romance to you. It’s recommended to wear it a few days before and after you want to cast the love spell as that will make the energies stronger, and you’ll be able to carry them with you longer.

Wash Your Hands With Saffron

While washing your hands with saffron seems like an odd thing to do, it’s a habit that will keep the romantic energy on you. Incorporating it into your daily routine will guarantee that the energies will be around you 24/7. There are multiple brands of soap made with saffron and other healing herbs that are sold in health and witch shops.

Keep Sachets of Saffron

Finally, keeping sachets of it in your home can infuse the air around you with romantic and positive energy. Sachets are small cloth bags filled with herbs and spices that are tied closed with a piece of twine or ribbon. Filling a small cloth bag with saffron and tying it with a red or pink ribbon is a simple way to bring romantic energy to you.

How to Grow Saffron

The best way to get fresh saffron is to grow it yourself. Saffron takes about six to ten weeks to grow, and each flower only produces about three or four saffron threads. Here’s what to do:

  • Where to buy: You can purchase saffron bulbs from any local plant nursery, especially during the middle of fall.
  • Where to plant: Once you have the bulbs, you can plant them in any spot in your yard that gets a lot of sun.
  • How to plant: The soil should also be well-draining, meaning not too dense, and water can seep through it easily.
  • How to care for: After you plant the saffron bulbs, they don’t need that much care. It’s recommended that you fertilize them once a year and water them once a week if your area doesn’t get much rain. Other than that, they take very little effort to take care of. The thing they do take a lot of is patience.

Keeping your saffron crop well-stocked can help you always have a steady supply of saffron on hand.

Where Can I Buy Saffron?

If you would rather buy your saffron, be warned that it is very expensive. Since each bulb produces such a minimal supply, it’s considered a fairly rare spice, and thus the price goes up.

A jar of saffron costs anywhere from $10 to $20 at your local grocery store. If you purchase it from an authentic spice shop, it can cost anywhere from $40 to $60 a gram.

When looking for saffron, be aware of shops or sellers that will try to scam you with fake saffron. Common rip-offs include:

  • Dyed red paper filaments
  • Fragments of red plastic
  • Safflower stigmas

To test if the saffron is authentic, take a good long inhale of it or taste a little on your tongue. If it tastes sweet and smells fragrant, it’s the real deal.

How to Make Saffron Milk

There is indeed such a thing as saffron milk. And it’s actually pretty easy to make and can have a versatile amount of uses for love spells.

The ingredients you’ll need for saffron milk include:

  • Seven saffron threads
  • Five cardamom pods (you can also get these at the grocery store)
  • Four cups of milk
  • Dried rose petals
  • One cinnamon stick
  • Sweetener of your choice (sugar, creamer, etc.)

Once you have all of your ingredients, all you need is a mortar and pestle and a small pot; then, you can get started.

  • Grind your saffron until it’s a fine powder, pour it into a small bowl, and set it aside.
  • Grind the cardamom pods in the empty mortar and pestle until you can smell them (should smell sweet and earthy).
  • Combine the cardamom in a small pot along with the milk, cinnamon, and rose petals and bring it to a simmer.
  • Stir in your saffron powder and sweetener once the mixture reaches a simmer,
  • Let the milk simmer for another 2 to 4 minutes, occasionally stirring until the milk starts taking on a light golden color
  • Remove from the heat and strain into a jar

How do I Use Saffron Milk in Love Spells?

If you want to use saffron milk in love spells, you need to use it while it’s still warm so that it attracts the most energy. The most powerful way to use saffron milk in love spells is to leave it as an offering for a deity of love, but that’s for the more advanced spell caster.

If you’re just starting, drinking a little bit of the saffron milk at a time as you perform the love spell can help the energy to attach to you and be with you throughout the day.

Do Not Underestimate the Power of Saffron

The power of saffron in love spells should not be underestimated and thus should be handled with care. It can draw in positive energies if used correctly but make your relationships even worse if used wrong.
